Graduate Research Positions
I consider graduate students for positions in my
group on an ongoing basis. Interested parties can contact me at michael_flatte@mailaps.org.

Postdoctoral Positions
Postdoctoral positions in condensed matter theory are available beginning in Fall 2008. The general area of interest is spin-dependent properties in semiconductors. Specific areas include, but are not limited to: (1) spin-dependent transport in organic sem
iconductors, (2) electronic structure and optical properties of magnetic/nonmagnetic nanostructures, (3) single-spin properties in semiconductors, and (4) spin-dependent properties in multiferroics. At least one hire will be made as part of a
recently-fund ed consortium to explore spin-mediated coupling in hybrid magnetic materials, and will involve collaboration with researchers at U. Missouri-Columbia, U. Pittsburgh, NYU, and UC Berkeley. Applicants should submit their curriciulum vitae and arrange for thr
ee letters of recommendation to be sent directly to me. The preferred format is e-mail/PDF. Interested parties can contact me at
michael_flatte@mailaps.org.
Mail applications should be sent

Undergraduate Research
There are a variety of possible undergraduate research projects I would be
willing to supervise. Depending on the topic these might be paid positions
as well. Please contact me
at michael_flatte@mailaps.org for
further information.
