Research Interests: Currently researching structures composed of large numbers of quantum wells spaced with Bragg periodicity. The spacing of these quantum wells gives rise to a photonic bandgap in the materials.  Our research has been focused on the linear and nonlinear properties of the bandgap and applying them to slow light and all optical switching applications.

Hometown: Indianola, IA

Educational Background: B.S. in Physics for Harding University in Searcy, AR. Ph.D. in Physics (in progress) from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA
