We are a part of the Physics department at
the University of Iowa, but our work is really interdisciplinary, including
Electrical Engineering, Material Science and some Chemistry. Our research topics include: • Transport studies in organic sandwich structures such as Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs) and in planar structures such as Organic Field Effect Transistors (OFETs). • Magnetotransport studies and Organic Spintronics • Spectroscopic study of organic electroluminescence (Device Spectroscopy), and excitons and polarons. • Finding new approaches to Organic Photovoltaic Cells through combining organic semiconductors with porous materials. • Developing integrated Photonics elements made from polymer materials Group Director
